Sound familiar?

Signs your brakes need attention.

Squealing or grinding

A high-pitched squeal usually means the wear indicator is contacting the rotor, grinding means it's well overdue.

Soft or spongy pedal

A pedal that sinks further than usual, especially braking hard down Adelaide Avenue, points to air or a fluid issue.

Vibration through the pedal

Judder under braking at speed on the Tuggeranong Parkway is a classic sign of warped rotors.

Car pulls under braking

Pulling to one side when you brake can mean a sticking caliper or uneven pad wear, worth checking before it gets worse.

Woden

"Had a slow leak that turned out to be a nail in the sidewall. They were upfront that it couldn’t be repaired and had a replacement tyre fitted within the hour."

Sarah L.
Queanbeyan

"Logbook service done properly, stamped and everything, for a lot less than the dealership quoted. Will be bringing both our cars here from now on."

David K.
Gungahlin

"Vibration through the wheel at highway speed turned out to be a balancing issue. Sorted in under 40 minutes and hasn’t come back since."

Frequently Asked

Questions answered.

How much does a brake service cost in Canberra?
Pad replacement starts from around $149 per axle, pads and rotors together from around $299 per axle, both indicative. We'll confirm exact pricing after a free inspection.
How do I know if I need pads or pads and rotors?
If the rotors are still within spec thickness and show no deep grooving or heat marks, pads alone may be enough. We measure and show you before recommending either option.
Can you fit it in same day?
Most passenger vehicle brake jobs are completed the same day, often within an hour or two, at our Fyshwick workshop.
Why do my brakes squeal even though the pads look fine?
It can be dust, glazing, or a wear indicator tab just starting to contact the rotor. We'll inspect and tell you honestly whether it's a genuine safety issue or just noise.
Do you check brake fluid too?
Yes, brake fluid level and condition are checked as part of every brake inspection, and we'll flag if a fluid flush is overdue.
What brake brands do you use?
We fit quality aftermarket and OEM-equivalent pads and rotors suited to your vehicle and how it's driven, we'll talk through the options at quote time.
Is the brake inspection really free?
Yes, a visual brake inspection is free whenever you're in for a service or if you're concerned about a noise or feel, no obligation to proceed.
